Description: COST CONTROL ENGINEER - DIRECT HIRE - KAZAKHSTAN We are instructed to only submit to our Client candidates whose qualifications and experience match client’s specification. Our client’s Business areas include Oil & Gas; Production facilities, Pipeline systems, Storage facilities, LNG & terminals. Energy; Thermal power & seawater desalination, Energy transport and distribution, Control and automation. Water and environment; Water supply, Wastewater, Waste, Hydropower. Civil engineering; Traffic and transport, Tunnels and caverns, Building & Structures, Telecommunications, Alpine engineering. They are seeking a Cost Control Engineer to work on a petrochemical project. QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Must have recent experience of the job scope below within the Oil/Gas or Petrochemical industry. Must have a degree in a appropriate discipline. Should preferably have previous experience of working on major pipeline design projects. JOB SCOPE: The Cost Control Specialist is embedded in the PMT’s Control Department and is instructed by and reporting to the Head of the Department. They will assist in the cost control of Contracts as awarded by the Client’s Client. The work performed includes the administration of the program payment, variations and other contract correspondence. Shall report on payment status of the Project and give details on cost incurred and report on any variations from the original contract price and forecast cash flow required by Clients. Responsibilities include among others: Review and comment project cost procedures upon Company standards; Prepare and maintain Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) and coding system for all projects phases and scope of work; Invoice review and checking; Forecast and anticipated final total project costs; Highlight to management any adverse cost trends. Project phase: basic design review / detail design review / PMC contract. Client role is provision of technical advisory and project management services on phase II of a pipeline project.
