Head of Electrical & Instrument Engineering

At our headquarters in Copenhagen and at local shore bases, we build the strategic, technological and administrative foundation for our offshore operations.Maersk Contractors is an integrated part of the A.P. Moller -Maersk Group, providing access to unique, international career possibilities.Our Production Engineering Department is looking for an experienced E&I Engineer to be Head of the Electrical & Instrument Section of about eight people.
The E&I Section provide electrical and instrumentation engineering support, knowledge, and experience to the various scopes for new build FPSO’s, as well as to support modification projects for units in operation.

The main responsibility of the Head of E&I Engineering is, e.g.:

Show leadership in accordance with the APMM Values
Manage and organise the E&I Section to ensure functions are handled efficiently, in a sound economic way, and to customer satisfaction
In cooperation with the Project Managers, monitor and adjust engineering support to the projects
Overall supervision of engineering work as per below
Compliance with statutory requirements, Maersk engineering requirements, and national and international acts and regulations
Ensure development of Engineering and Technical standards

The functions of the E&I Section include, e.g.:

Review and comment on design of electrical and instrument equipment, cables and systems
Review comments from Certifying Authority on design of the electrical equipment, cables and systems (including safety aspects)
Participate in HAZID’s and HAZOP’s
Interface co-ordination assistance
Review and comment plans for Factory Acceptance Tests and participate in such tests
Ensure that project safety, quality and management standards are implemented and maintained in the design
