Description:
Rotation 28/28 Purpose: Ensures by systematic review of welding and NDT documentation that the Execution Contractors proposals for welding and NDT activities related to the work are fully in conformance with the codes, standards and technical specifications specified in the Contract documents. Reviews and approves deliverables produced by the Execution Contractors for the Offshore scope, including barges, pipe-racks, burner boom trestles, wellhead protection structures, ice protection structures as appropriate. These deliverables include weldability data, welding qualifications, fabrication drawings etc. Monitors the performance of the work of the Execution Contractors Welding Engineers and takes part in reviews and audits of Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers welding and NDT activities. The Contractors Engineering Manager and Welding/ Materials specialists. Qualifications & Experience: Internationally recognized professional qualification in Welding Relevant years experience in design and Construction of Offshore Oil and Gas Projects both Onshore and Offshore Full working Knowledge of AWS, ASME, ANSI, ASTM and ISO standards relating to Welding Engineering and Non Destructive Testing. Experienced with welding and inspecting steels for high pressure and low temperature applications and pipework/vessels etc. with NACE and HIC requirements. Experience with Welding Nickel based alloys and high alloy stainless steels Experience with pipe welding and NDT techniques in particular pipe for sour service. Required Competencies: Computer Literate and familiar with MS Office applications. Firm understanding of the principles of welding materials for use in high H2S fluids and for extremely low temperatures as experienced on the Kashagan Project.
