Design Engineer for Technip Malaysia

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Verify that engineering tasks are strictly carried out in compliancewith contract requirements and in accordance with industry’s best practices
2. Perform technical interfaces with the client and with the variousdisciplines to achieve good engineering design
3. Verify the cost effectiveness of the design of the facilities(engineering, procurement and construction)
4. Ensure engineering documents are delivered as per Project Schedule inaccordance with the quality control processes
5. Coordinate engineering activities with Procurement, Subcontracts andConstruction teams
6. Provide prompt engineering support to resolve construction issues atsite related to engineering work
7. Closely monitor the progress of project to ensure the project iscompleted within stipulated time frame and budget with optimum manhours
8. Build and develop a cohesive team to emphasize teamwork to achievethe project goals

REQUIREMENTS:·
Degree in Engineering or its equivalent·
5 to 7 years’ experience in Engineering design in the Oil &Gas or Refining or Petrochemical Plants;
Senior position will require a minimumof 9 years experience·
Experience in Construction execution is an added advantage·
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability toinfluence and motivate team members.·
Some understanding of Project Management and possess goodleadership skills
