Description: TITLE : FLOW ASSURANCE ENGINEERS REPORTING TO : DISCIPLINE MANAGER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline REQUIRED EXPERIENCE : Minimum 5 years' experience working in the oil and gas industry and at least 3 years in flow assurance-related experience. Background: The Flow Assurance Group within this international contractor provides technical support to all engineering and construction projects undertaken both in the UK and at their overseas offices. It is also a part of their Consultancy Group covering FA aspects for conceptual design, Pre-FEED to FEED study work. An increasing workload and ongoing expansion, operating as the centre of excellence on Flow Assurance and System Operability Design for the company, means that they wish to invite experienced flow assurance engineers to join the team. Role Description: * To execute flow assurance related engineering studies covering both steady state and dynamic simulations for different phases of onshore or offshore field development projects. * To liaise/communicate/work with other disciplines and client representatives and be part of a project based engineering team. * To provide flow assurance input in terms of work scope preparation to project bids and consultancy work proposals. Key Skills 1. Experience using FA software e.g. Pipesim, Pipesim-Net, OLGA, Multiflash, PVTSim. Other software skills like HYSYS and PRO II, GAP and other dynamic simulators FLOWMASTER, NATASHA, SPS would be advantageous. 2. Sound knowledge of multiphase flow, heat transfer, fluid properties and characterisation and flow assurance operability issues like slugging, hydrates mitigation and remediation, wax management and sand transport. 3. Experience in working within a project team.
