Our client is looking for a Piping Engineer to join a team working on the Greater Ekofisk Modifications on a contract basis in Stavanger, Norway. The duration of this contract is until approx. July 2009. About the Project: Ekofisk is an oil field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea. It was discovered in 1969 and remains one of the most important oil fields in the North Sea. Oil production began in 1971 after the construction of a series of offshore platforms and is estimated to continue until at 2050. Experience within the oil and gas industry and of carrying out offshore surveys is essential for this role. Previous experience of using SAP and ProArc would be an advantage. This role will include typical piping design tasks related to 'Periodical Maintenance Order' projects on Ekofisk wellhead areas. These projects have a great variety including new flowlines, generation of inspection drawings. -5 years contracts experience in the up-stream process and oil & gas projects, of which at least 2 years on major and/or high complexity contracts. CIPS type qualification would be preferred, along with previous experience working in the CIS, particularly in Kazakhstan.

The oil and gas centre in Aberdeen is an established provider of a range of risk based integrity services that support and enhance asset operation and maintenance.

They are currently looking for an Integrity Team Leader with a background in offshore integrity management. Main responsibilities are to provide day to day management to deliver an effective commercial service for external clients where the parameters are not well defined and to determine solutions where previous experience does not provide any precedent.

You will review, analyse and make recommendations based on the results generated from offshore activities. Perform assessments for integrity against the relevant legislation and industry standards in a proactive manner and where an anomaly does not immediately compromise asset integrity, provision shall be made for monitoring its deterioration. It will be your responsibility to liaise with Offshore Inspection Engineers and NDT personnel on a regular basis, also acting as focal point for communications with client onshore facilities engineering. You will have a duty to cascade information to other members of the project team and other LR projects.

You will issue integrity statements and manage project databases. You will also ensure that project activities are performed in accordance with the Health, safety and environmental policy. You will also hold regular quality and safety briefings with offshore personnel and third party contractors.

To be considered you should have a degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline. You will also need a wide breadth and depth of knowledge within the petrochemical, inspection or engineering industry with proven skills in project management and be an effective verbal and written communicator. In depth knowledge of pressure vessel and pipework design and inspection codes of practice is required. A Chartered/European Engineer would be an advantage, as would commercial and financial awareness.
